About Judy

An encourager at heart, Judy hopes to draw others to the God of all comfort.

Judy Gann knows the daily pain and challenges of chronic illness. She’s lived with various illnesses, including fibromyalgia and a seizure disorder, most of her life. Judy started an Encouragement Support Group at her church for those with chronic illnesses.

Judy’s writing has appeared in several magazines and book compilations. A former librarian, Judy speaks to parent groups about the value of reading to their children and presents workshops to authors on promoting their books to libraries.

“Judy Gann’s prayerful reflections on a life stamped with chronic pain make a companion of all of us, pain or no pain. Nothing purges Christian witness of cliché and platitudes more effectively than suffering.”

What People Are Saying About Judy

“This beautifully written devotional will carry you to the arms of the One who comforts, the One who Loves, the One who gives Hope and Strength. I encourage anyone suffering from chronic pain and illness, as well as ongoing emotional pain, to get this devotional. Even when you feel like you don’t have an ounce of brain energy, a daily reading from this short devotional will boost your spirit.”

Carol Wilson

“I think what I loved most about the book is that it’s split into chapters, each one taking the reader through the various struggles those who deal with chronic issues face and walking alongside them. It isn’t a “do it like this and you’ll feel better” book. Honestly, it reminds me of the psalms and how, when you read them, you know that David felt just like you do right now and it’s a powerful thing to know that you’re not the only one going through this.”

Brittany Stonestreet

Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do or say to those who chronically suffer. Thanks to Judy Gann’s gem, The God of All Comfort, I can now give a book filled with devotions of hope and written with compassion, courage, and conviction. I recommend this book to pastors, counselors, friends, family, and those who suffer.

Jan Coates, author of Set Free and Attitude-inize

“Judy Gann’s workshop, “Marketing to Public Libraries,” was outstanding. It was filled with professional insights that helped me pitch my book to librarians in ways that captured their interest. Eight novels later, I’m proud to say that my books are on library shelves around the country thanks to Judy’s help.”

Karen Barnett
author of When Stone Wings Fly

“Judy speaks with quiet authority, tenderness, and passion for young children and literacy. She gives young moms great confidence as their children’s first and foremost teachers. What a gift she’s been to our MOPS program over the years!”

Beckie Madson
MOPS Mentor Mom, Lake City Community Church

“Judy Gann’s prayerful reflections on a life stamped with chronic pain make a companion of all of us, pain or no pain. Nothing purges Christian witness of cliché and platitudes more effectively than suffering.”

Eugene Peterson, author of The Message

“Through my years as a physician, I have provided copies of The God of All Comfort for my patients who are looking for strength and hope to make it through another day. Judy Gann speaks with an authentic voice to offer insight and encouragement in the midst of the pain, the heartache, and the uncertainty of a chronic illness.“

Dr. Patricia Landry, MD Member, Focus on the Family’s Physicians Resource Counsel Life-Time Member, American Academy of Family Physicians
